Curriculum for the week:
Reading story - none

---We will be doing a research project using what we have learned in the last 2 weeks about informational text to create a brochure about a plant of our choice.  Grades this week will come from a research planner (to make sure they are finding the information they will need) and the final brochure.
Grammar - commas in a letter
Writing - Santa letters
Math - counting money to $1.00
Science - Human Body Systems
Spelling - ice, cent, fence, recess, pencil, gift, give, gold, huge, lunge, ridge, large, gym, giant, gentle.  Bonus:  giraffe, cereal, delicious, vegetable, ceiling.

A few reminders:

We will be doing our class spelling bee on Monday.  Study up those words that I sent home last week.  I will choose 2 participants and 2 alternates for the Simonton Spelling Bee.
