A Folktale of Your Very Own

Curriculum for the week:
Reading Story - students will create their own folktale, and share it with the class using what they have learned about them over the last few weeks
Spelling - each, beach, peach, eat, heat, meat, read, leaf, real, meet, sheet, keep, sleep, queen, wheel (must know which meat/meet to us when, it will be given to them in a sentence) Bonus: eager, greasy, crease, treatment, cheerleader
Vocabulary - none
Grammar - synonyms
Math - subtraction with regrouping - to 3 digit beginning Wednesday
Writing - How-to Paragraphs - make  PB&J sandwich
Social Studies - Pilgrims

A few reminders:

No school Monday for Veteran's Day.

We will be testing for the Simonton Math Facts Club again next week.  Some students were really close last time, so brush up on those facts and be ready to join the club!
